:: our volunteers::
Volunteers assist our clients in a variety of ways, both inside and outside the riding arena. In the arena, volunteers are side-walkers (providing physical and verbal support), horse leaders (assuring the safe horse handling during class), DHPs — Designated Horse Person (tacking and grooming horses for class), and Daily Coordinators (who assist in managing the volunteer scheduling for a block of classes). Outside the arena, volunteers fill many important roles including, but not limited to, administrative and computer functions, telephone committees, board membership, committee membership, assistance with fund raising activities and events, and many, many more functions. For more information about Volunteer Opportunities at SIRE, click here or call our Volunteer Coordinator in Hockley (281) 356-7588, Spring (281) 353-6160 or Fort Bend (281) 778-0202. |
