SIRE horses have these qualities

  • Between 14 - 17 hands high and 8-20 years old.

  • Demonstrates calm temperament*

  • Sound at all three gaits*

  • Displays good manners*

  • Well-trained under saddle, experienced in diverse venues*

Breed and type of riding discipline/training usually will not be determining factors.

Horses with insulin resistance, Cushing’s Disease, ringbone, or that have foundered will not be considered for our program.

If the horse appears suitable for our program, it undergoes a 90-day probation period to evaluate its compatibility with riders with special needs. If accepted, you have the right of first refusal should the horse become unsuitable. We guarantee they will never be auctioned; alternative homes will be sought if necessary. To initiate the evaluation process, please contact the relevant Site Manager for further arrangements.
